     Problem after Installing OS/2 SMP on Intel Xpress SMP System

DESCRIPTION

Only one processor is recognized after installing OS/2 SMP. The system 
BIOS is Phoenix BIOS 1.00.17.

For OS/2 SMP, the system BIOS must be MPS 1.1-compliant. System BIOS 
1.00.17 is not MPS 1.1-compliant.

RESOLUTION

Upgrade the BIOS to Phoenix BIOS 1.00.19, which is MPS 1.1-compliant, 
and then run Selective Install.

Note: Selective Install asks for the PSD diskette. You might need to
      unpack OS2APIC.PSD. This file is on Diskette 4 of the OS/2 SMP
      package.
