OSINTINB - COUNTRY.SYS ERROR WITH TEXAS INSTRUMENTS' NOTEBOOK COMPUTERS - OS/2 2.1 01/08/96 ======================================================================= COUNTRY.SYS Error with Texas Instruments' Notebook Computers - OS/2 2.1 ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedure ------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION When installing OS/2 on Texas Instruments' Notebook computers, TI4000/30, 4000/40, and 4000/50, the following error message is received: COUNTRY.SYS on diskette 1 while installing OS/2. RESOLUTION Go to CMOS Advanced settings and change the following in Advanced Options: Power Savings = Off Time Out Interval = On HDmotor Timeout = On LCD Power = Low Advanced OS Power = Off External cache = Off Turbo = Off Notes: 1. All settings can be returned to normal after installation. 2.
