(The problem also has been seen with the UltraStor 34F.) RESOLUTION Note: Make sure you have a backup of any file you intend to change. 1. Start the system with a DOS startable diskette. 2. Insert the EISA configuration diskette that came with the system. 3. Type CF and press Enter. 4. Select View Edit. 5. Locate the UltraStor 24F diskette statement. Note: It is Disabled. 6. Select Edit. 7. Change the entry to Primary. 8. Save the changes. 9. Turn off the computer. 10. Remove Jumper J7 from the UltraStor adapter. Note: The jumper is in the middle of the board. 11. Turn on the system; you should see drive A tested when the system starts. The system now should read the diskettes correctly. Note: If you cannot read the diskettes, or the system does not test drive A, reinsert Jumper J7 and repeat the steps. ______________________________________________________________________ IBM disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including without limitation, warranties of fitness and merchantability with respect to the information in this document.
