   Create Utility Diskettes Has Problem with Preformatted Diskettes

DESCRIPTION

Utility Diskette 0 is not startable when a blank, preformatted diskette 
is used with Create Utility Diskettes. The following error occurs when 
you attempt to start the system with this diskette:

Non-System disk or disk error
Replace and press any key when ready.

RESOLUTION

1. Insert a diskette into drive A: that is not blank; however, 
    the diskette will be formatted and all data will be destroyed.

2. Double-click on OS/2 System on the Desktop.

3. Double-click on System Setup.

4. Double-click on Create Utility Diskettes.

5. Click on Create.

Note: For Utility Diskettes 1, 2, and 3, it is OK to use blank, 
      formatted diskettes.
