    OS/2 Warp Connect Bundled Products Backwards Compatibility

DESCRIPTION

OS/2 Warp Connect networking products are not supported when installed 
over any OS/2 version prior to OS/2 Warp Connect.

In addition, OS/2 Warp Connect blue box networking products are not 
supported when installed over any red box version of OS/2, and OS/2 
Warp Connect red box networking products are not supported when 
installed over any blue box version of OS/2.

To verify the level of the operating system, type SYSLEVEL at an OS/2 
command prompt. 

If you see the following, then you have the correct level of the 
operating system to install OS/2 Warp Connect blue box networking 
products:

C:\OS2\INSTALL\SYSLEVEL.OS2
                           IBM OS/2 Base Operating System
Version 3.00     Component ID 562274700
Type 0C
Current CSD level: XR03003
Prior   CSD level: XR03003

If the SYSLEVEL command returns the following, then you have the 
correct level of the operating system to install OS/2 Warp Connect red 
box networking products:

C:\OS2\INSTALL\SYSLEVEL.OS2
                           IBM OS/2 Base Operating System
Version 3.00     Component ID 562274700
Type 0C
Current CSD level: XR03004
Prior   CSD level: XR03004

RESOLUTION

Install the OS/2 Warp operating system from the OS/2 Warp Connect CD-ROM; 
then install any desired networking products.
