Invalid Windows Configuration File when Copying WIN-OS/2 Desktop from 
Existing Windows Desktop

DESCRIPTION

During Selective Install of WIN-OS/2 support, after choosing to copy 
the WIN-OS/2 Desktop from an existing Windows Desktop and pressing OK, 
an error occurs: Invalid Windows Configuration File. 

RESOLUTION

1. Open an OS/2 Window. 

2. Type E X:\WINDOWS\WIN.INI, then press Enter 
   (where X:\WINDOWS is the drive and path to your existing Windows 
   directory).

3. Make sure the WIN.INI file contains the following statements in the 
   [windows] section:
  
   LOAD= 
   RUN=
