OSINWORK - PROBLEMS INSTALLING IBM WORKS FROM OS/2 WARP BONUSPAK 01/30/96 ======================================================================= Problems Installing IBM Works from OS/2 Warp BonusPak ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures -------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION When you type INSTALL from diskette or CD-ROM, or use the BPIU interface, after a few seconds, the window returns to the prompt, or the BPIU interface returns to the main menu, and no message is displayed. RESOLUTION 1. At the command prompt, type E CONFIG.SYS and press Enter. 2. Look for the statement, SET REMOTE_INSTALL_STATE=0. If the statement is present, change it to: REM SET REMOTE_INSTALL_STATE=0 3. Save and exit the file; then restart the system.
