OSINXRSM - GETTING "NO PRODUCTS TO SERVICE" MESSAGE WHEN APPLYING FIXPAKS XR_SM07 AND XR_SM16 06/13/96 ======================================================================= Getting "No Products to Service" Message when Applying FixPaks XR_SM07 and XR_SM16 ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedure ------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION SMP FixPaks XR_SM07 and XR_SM16 for OS/2 SMP, fail to apply on systems, even those that have OS/2 for SMP 7CPU or 16CPU versions. You receive the error "No products to service." RESOLUTION Before applying XR_SM07 or XR_SM16 FixPaks: 1. Open a DOS Window or Full-Screen session. 2. Type following and press Enter after each: Copy X:\os2\install\syslevel.os2 x:\os2\install\syslevel.bug Debug X:\os2\install\syslevel.os2 (where X: is the drive OS/2 is installed on). This gives you a "-" prompt. 3. At the "-" prompt, type e 0194 and press Enter. You receive the message 1463:0194 30. 4. Type one of the following and press Enter: 32 for OS/2 SMP (1 to 7 CPUs) or 33 for OS/2 SMP (1 to 16 CPUs) The "-" prompt returns. 5. Type w at the "-" prompt and press Enter. 6. Type q at the "-" prompt and press Enter.
