A message prompts you to press Enter, but the keyboard does not work. RESOLUTION Note: Make sure you have a backup of any file you intend to change. You can either: * Remove mouse-support statements from the CONFIG.SYS file, or * Add PAUSEONERROR=NO to the CONFIG.SYS file. The first method is better if you start the system in Net Server mode; otherwise, the second method is better. Removing Mouse-Support Statements --------------------------------- 1. At a command prompt, type E CONFIG.SYS and press Enter. 2. Remove the following statements: DEVICE=C:\OS2\MDOS\VMOUSE.SYS DEVICE=C:\OS2\POINTDD.SYS DEVICE=C:\OS2\MOUSE.SYS Note: If there are any other mouse statements, remove them too. 3. Save and exit the file; then restart the system. Adding PAUSEONERROR Statement ----------------------------- 1. At a command prompt, type E CONFIG.SYS and press Enter. 2. Add the statement, PAUSEONERROR=NO. 3.
