       No PCMCIA Support for Gateway Color Notebook in OS/2 Warp

DESCRIPTION

PCMCIA support for Gateway Color Notebooks does not work in OS/2 Warp. 
Socket Services is not available in Selective Install for the Gateway 
Color Notebook.

RESOLUTION

1. Open OS/2 System.
2. Open System Setup.
3. Open Selective Install.
4. Select OK.
5. Place a check mark to the left of PCMCIA Support.
6. Select Install.
7. Select the IBM2AST1.SYS device driver.

   Note: This device driver also might work for other notebooks with
         the same PCMCIA Socket Services chip set.
