SYS3175 in SLIPPM.EXE When Trying to Connect to an Internet Service 
Provider with TCP/IP 3.0 from Warp Connect

DESCRIPTION

After trying to connect to an Internet Service Provider, CONNECT locks 
up. When hanging up, a SYS3175 access violation in SLIPPM occurs.

RESOLUTION

This problem is resolved by applying Corrective Service Paks for MPTS 
and TCP/IP. MPTS CSD WR_8210 and TCP/IP 3.0 CSD UN_00067 are available 
from the following FTP site:

      ps.software.ibm.com 

in the following subdirectories:
  
     /ps/products/mpts/fixes/english-us/wr08210
     /ps/products/tcpip/fixes/V3.0os2/un00067

Each Service Pak comes with a README file with installation 
instructions.    

The MPTS CSD should be applied first, followed by the TCP/IP CSD. After 
both are applied, you should contact technical support to obtain a new 
version of SLIPPM.EXE which was supplied by APAR IC12182. With this 
applied, the SYS3175 will no longer occur.
