        Enabling the Pro AudioSpectrum 16 to play MIDI Files in
                        WIN-OS/2 or Windows

DESCRIPTION

This document describes how to enable the Pro AudioSpectrum 16 audio 
adapter to run OS/2 MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) files 
in WIN-OS/2 or Windows.

Note: According to the online Multimedia book in the Information folder,
      the Pro AudioSpectrum 16 audio adapter cannot run these files in
      Windows.

RESOLUTION

Use the following procedure instead of the one in the online Multimedia 
book.

After installing the Windows drivers:

 1. Open Windows (full-screen or window session).

 2. Open Main Folder if it is not already open.

 3. Select Control Panel.

 4. Select MIDI Mapper icon.

 5. Select Edit to edit the MIDI Mapper.

 6. Change the Port name for SRC Channels 1 through 4 to Voyetra OPL-3
    FM Synth.

 7. Select OK.

 8. Select Yes to save the changes.

 9. Select Close to close the MIDI Mapper.

10. Close all windows and return to the Desktop.
