                      VoiceType (Speech) Accuracy is Low

DESCRIPTION

Words are not being recognized or you must repeat yourself several
times before recognition occurs.

RESOLUTION

An "Enrollment" should be performed to boost accuracy. If this has not 
been done, do the following:

1. Double-click on the Programs icon.

2. Double-click on VoiceType.

3. Double-click on Enrollment.

4. Click on ENROLL and follow the instructions on 
   the screen or press F1 (Help) to get additional details.

5. The customer should perform a COMPLETE enrollment for both
   Dictation and Navigation (these radio button choices are
   found at the top of the Enrollment screen).

If, after doing a COMPLETE enrollment, the accuracy is still low,
do the following:

1. Make sure your environment is as noise-free as possible.

2. Use a high quality, unidirectional microphone.

3. Experiment with the degree of "match between word and
   sound" as follows:

   a. Double-click on Voice Manager (in the VoiceType
      folder).

   b. Click on the "properties" icon (placing mouse button over
      each icon gives its description).

   c. Select the "Audio" tab at the top of the folder.

   d. Select "Page 2" by clicking on the "+" sign near the upper
      right corner of the screen.

   e. Move the slider bar either toward "Approximate" or toward
      "Exact" depending on your environment.
      To find out which way to move the slider bar, press F1 (Help)
      to bring up a help screen which will suggest which way to 
      slide the bar based on your environment.
