OSOTCKIN - CHANGING THE USER EXPERIENCE LEVEL IN THE WARPGUIDE'S USER CHECK-IN 09/20/96 ======================================================================= Changing the User Experience Level in the WarpGuide's User Check-In ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures -------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION When the system is first installed, you may be prompted to supply your name and experience level (I'm unfamiliar with computers, I'm familiar with computers, but not OS/2, I'm familiar with computers and OS/2). As you work with the system, you may wish to modify your selection to make the WarpGuides appear more or less frequently, depending on your level of expertise with the system. If you return to the User Check-In for WarpGuide, you will find that there is no way to modify that level. RESOLUTION Currently, the only way to change a user's experience level in WarpGuides is by deleting that user's entry and creating a new entry at the experience level desired. To do this, open the User Check-In for WarpGuide object. * If there are several users listed in the User Check-In box, highlight the user name to be modified, then click on the DELETE button. This will remove that entry from the Check-In. Then, click on the NEW button and reenter the user name with the new experience level. * If there is only one entry in the User Check-In box, choose NEW to create a new entry (with a different name), BEFORE deleting the original entry. You can then return to the Check-In window, highlight the original entry, and press the DELETE button. Once completed, close the User Check-In window. warp4 ______________________________________________________________________ IBM disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including without limitation, warranties of fitness and merchantability with respect to the information in this document.
