  "Unable to Load VIEW.OVL as Overlay" Error in OS/2 2.1 or OS/2 2.11

DESCRIPTION

When trying to open the Information folder, the following error message
is received:

   Unable to load VIEW.OVL as an overlay.

RESOLUTION

Unpack the VIEW.EXE file:

1. Open an OS/2 Window session.
2. Type CD\OS2 and press Enter.
3. Insert the correct diskette in drive A:

   * For blue diskettes: Installation Diskette
   * For salmon diskettes: Diskette 11

4. Type the following and press Enter:

   * For blue diskettes: UNPACK BUNDLE
   * For salmon diskettes: UNPACK REQUIRED

5. Close the OS/2 Window session.
6. Open the Information folder that you were unable to open previously.
