        Information on VoiceType for OS/2 Warp Enhancement

DESCRIPTION

VoiceType for OS/2 Warp Enhancement was announced on 15 October, 1996. 
This document gives a brief overview of the product and its hardware 
and software requirements. For further information, call

RESOLUTION

Product Description:

IBM VoiceType for OS/2 Warp Enhancement strengthens the VoiceType 
support included in OS/2 Warp Version 4. This enhancement gives 
professionals who dictate the ability to delay correcting their 
dictation. There is no need to stop and make corrections as you are 
dictating. You can correct the dictation when you are ready or delegate 
the correcting to someone else.

These VoiceType enhancements also provide the installation routine 
needed to install industry language vocabularies for industries such as 
Journalism, Medical, and Legal. The  industry-specific vocabularies 
broaden an already extensive general office vocabulary and can provide 
improved dictation productivity in these professions. (These additional 
vocabularies are available through BestTeam members).

Hardware Requirements:

PS/2, ValuePoint, Aptiva, ThinkPad or IBM Compatible with 90 MHz 
Pentium processor with 256k L2 Cache and 16MB RAM (minimum).

Software Requirements:

IBM OS/2 Warp 4 or later.

Compatibility:

VoiceType for OS/2 Warp Enhancement is compatible with applications 
that are compatible with the VoiceType support in OS/2 Warp 4.

Limitations:

VoiceType for OS/2 Warp Enhancement is NOT compatible with VoiceType 
3.0 for Windows 95.

Complimentary Install Period of 30 Days with the following scope:

* Complete installation of VoiceType for OS/2 Warp Enhancement.
* Use vocabulary installer to install new vocabulary (legal, 
  journalism, etc).
* Active Delegated/Deferred Correction in IBM VoiceType for OS/2. 
  Determined by.... going to the dictation window pulldown. 
  - If 'open session' is not greyed out the feature is active.
  - If it is greyed out then the feature is not active.
		
Out of the scope of the CIS period:

* Configuration or usage support.
* Network configuration and administration.
* Developing, debugging, or migrating applications.
