OSPRHPSW - SWITCHING THE HP LASERJET IIID FROM PCL TO POSTSCRIPT 02/02/96 ======================================================================= Switching the HP LaserJet IIID from PCL to PostScript All OS/2 Releases ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures -------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION This document describes how to switch the printer mode of the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet IIID from PCL to PostScript RESOLUTION 1. Change to the SPOOL directory; then type MD SPPAGE to create the MPPAGE subdirectory. 2. Copy TOPCL.ASC and TOPS.ASC to the SPPAGE subdirectory. (These are the files that deal with mode switching.) 3. Create the file, PCLSEP.PG, with the following entry: & 1 & F "C:\SPOOL\SEPPAGE\TOPCL.ASC 4. Create the file, PSSEP.PG, with the following entry: & 1 & F "C:\SPOOL\SEPPAGE\TOPS.ASC 5. Create a printer icon for PCL and one for PostScript. 6. Open the settings for the PostScript printer; then select the Print option. 7. In the Separator file field, type the following (x is the drive where OS/2 is installed): x:\SPOOL\SEPPAGE\PSSEP.PG 8. Close the settings. 9.
