OSVIATWN - DISTORTED WIN-OS2 FULL SCREEN SESSIONS WITH ATI MACH 64 UNDER OS/2 WARP 4 10/14/96 ======================================================================= Distorted WIN-OS2 Full Screen sessions with ATI Mach 64 under OS/2 Warp 4 ======================================================================= Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures -------------------------------------------------------------- DESCRIPTION When using an ATI Mach 64 video card, WIN-OS/2 Full Screen sessions appear fuzzy or distorted. However, WIN-OS/2 Window sessions appear fine. This occurs because WIN-OS/2 full screen sessions use the video settings listed in the SYSTEM.INI file; windowed sessions do not. RESOLUTION To correct this blocking problem: 1. Open a WIN-OS/2 Window session. 2. Select File, then Run. 3. Type SYSEDIT, then press OK. 4. In the \OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\SYSTEM.INI file, look for the [mach] section. Add the line BLOCKSIZE=OFF to this section. 5. Save the file and exit the System Configuration Editor window. 6. Close the WIN-OS/2 Window session. warp4 ______________________________________________________________________ IBM disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including without limitation, warranties of fitness and merchantability with respect to the information in this document.
