The problem does not occur in VGA mode. IBM ThinkPad 365 and 760 models that use this chipset experience this problem. RESOLUTION IBM PC Company support is currently working with Trident to resolve this problem. It has been determined that it is caused by a driver failure, and there is currently is a BETA driver available to resolve it. It is available only by dialing into the IBM PC Company BBS at (919) 517-0001.
