IBM NDIS v1.14.2.1 Patch for Microsoft Windows 98 README

This package installs an update to the RSS61X.SYS file for the
PCI HomePNA/V.90 modem combo card. To fix a Plug n Play problem
during shut down.

This update package is intended for IBM Aptiva machine types
2178-xx and 2198-xx, systems that come with a preinstalled 
PCI HomePNA/V.90 modem combo card. 

Print this file so that you can refer to it during the
installation. 

Downloading the update
----------------------
1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save
   the downloaded file.

Installing the update
---------------------
1. Click Start -> Find -> Files and folders.
2. Type pnapatch.exe in the search box, then click Find Now.
   This will locate the pnapatch.exe file you just downloaded.
3. Double-click the icon for pnapatch.exe.
4. Click Next.
5. After reading the License Agreement, click Next.
6. When prompted for an installation folder leave the default
   setting of C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM.
7. Click Finish. 
8. Shut down and restart your computer so that the changes will
   take effect.
