CSWAVE.DLL File used by CSACBAT1.EXE. MIDIMAP.CFG MIDIMAP Configuration that contains preconfigured midimaps for the Crystal FM driver and the MPU-401 driver. MPU401.DRV Windows 3.1 MPU-401 MIDI Driver. OEMSETUP.INF Windows install file for CSFM and MPU-401 MIDI driver. CSFM.DRV Crystal FM MIDI driver. CSPOWER.CPL Crystal Power Control Panel. This Control Panel icon provides a way to do idle time-out for machines with Advanced Power Management. After a set amount of time, the driver will powerdown parts of the chip to save power. MSMIXMGR.DLL Windows 3.1 multimedia support file that provides enhanced mixer functionality for the Crystal Windows 3.1 driver. DISK2.ID Disk 2 ID used by SETUP.EXE. R151D2.Z Compressed archive of disk 2 that is uncompressed at installation time. CS32CFG.EXE CS4232 DOS Configuration Program. This GUI program will allow the user to adjust the configuration settings for a CS4232 card on a non-PnP system or on a system that has PnP overridden. It will also report back the configuration information for PnP configured systems. CS32HMX.EXE CS4232 DOS Hot Key Mixer TSR. This program will load a TSR which allows the user to adjust the Wave, FM, and Master Volume for the Sound Blaster settings. This program supports early games that do not have volume adjustment in the game. CS32INTR.EXE CS4232/CS4236 Integrator program. This program will launch the following other programs: CS32MIX, CSACGUCD, and CS32DIAG. CS32MIX.EXE DOS mixer used to set or adjust Sound Blaster mixer settings. It will run as a GUI application or as a command line utility. CSACGUCD.EXE DOS CD Player utility. The program plays audio CDs through an installed CDROM, allowing rewind, fast forward, skip, and eject functions. Requires MSCDEX to be loaded. CS32DIAG.EXE CS4232/CS4236 DOS Diagnostics program. This program tests the CS4232/CS4236 card in the following areas: codec, Sound Blaster, FM, MPU-401, and joystick. SOUNDTST.WAV CS32DIAG WAV file used in codec tests. TEST.DAT CS32DIAG data file used in the Synth playback test. CS4232C.EXE CS4232/CS4236 Configuration Program. A DOS device driver used to initialize and configure the card. It runs in CONFIG.SYS or on a command line. CS4232.INI Default initialization parameters for CS4232C.EXE. CS32WSS.EXE CS4232 WSS Initialization. Run this program after certain Sound Blaster DOS games, to setup and initialize the WSS codec. CWAUDIO.BIN Data file containing microcode for the CS4232, CS4232A, and CS4236. It is used by CS4232C.EXE. CWVER16.DLL Needed for new CS32BAOP. 4. Installing Crystal Audio Drivers 1. Copy the files on the diskette to a directory on the hard drive, or you may install from floppy. 2. From æFile ManagerÆ program or æFile/RunÆ menu option of æProgram ManagerÆ select the drive containing the installatio files to see the installation files found on the Crystal Windows 3.1x Driver Disk Version x.xx . 3. Double click on the file æSETUP.EXEÆ. Note: If other audio drivers from other audio device manufacturers were installed, please consult appropriate documentation or help procedures to remove these drivers. 4. After InstallShield Wizard loads click on YES to install the drivers. 5. If there is a previous installation of Crystal Audio drivers click on YES and the old installation will be overwritten. 6. The next screen will ask for a directory name to install some of the files. Enter the directory name or leave the default, ôC:\CRYSTAL.ö Click on æNEXTÆ to continue. 7. A æConfigurationÆ screen will appear that displays the setting for the I/O, IRQ and DMA resources. To accept the defaults, click on OK. 8. Installation will now take place and a Crystal program group will be created. 9. After completion of the driver installation Windows 3.1x will ask if you want to restart Windows. If it does ask you for a restart remove the floppy disk from Drive A and respond æyesÆ.
