Installation For Windows 95/98. 1. BEFORE downloading the Rockwell modem driver QF7T16A.EXE, create a new directory named C:\Rockwell on your hard drive. 2. Download the Rockwell modem driver into the C:\Rockwell directory. 3. QF7T16A.EXE is a self extracting file. This file MUST be extracted from a DOS prompt window or full screen window by clicking on "Start", "Programs", followed by "Command Prompt." 4. Once in a DOS window or full screen, change to the C:\Rockwell directory. Extract the files by typing qf7t16a -d and pressing . The " -d " switch MUST be used for the installation to function properly. 5. After the files have been extracted, you may close the DOS prompt window and return to Windows 95/98. To begin the installation of the updated modem drivers, start SETUP.EXE by double clicking, or by highlighting the file and pressing the key from Windows Explorer. You will see a welcome screen. Click on the Next button. You will see the modem in the display window. Click on the Next button to install the driver. 6. After confirming that the modem dials and establishes a connection properly, you may delete the C:\Rockwell directory, subdirectories, and all files contained in them. QF7T16A.EXE may be saved in order to resinstall the driver if needed.
