Updating your ComCentral Hardware and Utilities: The update contains feature enhancements to the ComCentral and ComCentral 33.6 units. It also contains Y2K fixes. Files: Hardware Update Files: GLOAD.EXE Program that updates the ComCentral hardware DAM.ROM Files that contains the firmware that is used to flash the hardware. DAM.ROM will update the hardware to the 1.06.15 firmware level. Utilities Update Files: CCFAX.EXE ComCentral Fax Manager Application; Version 1.02 CCSETUP.EXE ComCentral Setup Utility; Version 1.21 CCVOICE.EXE ComCentral Message Manager; Version 1.31 User's Manual Supplement: CCNEW1.DOC Microsoft Word 97 file with the description of the feature enhancements. IMPORTANT: ComCentral must be erased and reset after the update to function properly. You will lose all messages and outgoing greetings when the unit is erased. You can save your outgoing greetings before the update and restore them after the update using the ComCentral Message Manager. Updating the Hardware: - Put GLOAD.EXE and DAM.ROM in the same subdirectory - Close all programs - From a full-screen MS DOS window or restart your computer in MS DOS mode, go to the subdirectory that contains GLOAD.EXE. and DAM.ROM - Type GLOAD and hit enter. The hardware will be updated to the 1.06.15 level. - Close the MS DOS Window or restart your computer. Updating the Utilities: - Locate the folder with the existing CCFAX.EXE, CCSETUP.EXE, and CCVOICE.EXE files. The default folder was C:\Ccentral\ - Replace the existing files with the new files Erasing/Resetting ComCentral: - Start the ComCentral Setup Utility (CCSETUP.EXE) - Choose Setup then Erase ComCentral.
