This driver is Microsoft certified. 1.1 Limitations ----------------- This drivers software requires Microsoft Service Pack 5 or later for NT 4.0 installation. The Adapter Failover ( Teaming ) feature is only applicable to the Server Adapters. 2.0 Change History ____________________ This new v5.0 sw release replaces the previous v4.0 or older sw releases. New enhancements + features include IEEE 802.3p ( or 802.3ad ) support for link aggregation, improved failover events messaging, and new hardware IDs for all latest IBM / Intel 82550-based NICs and LOMs. Version history: v5.0 E100BNT.SYS 5.40.11.0000 v4.0 E100BNT.SYS 5.00.66.0000 v3.72 IBMFENT.SYS 4.02.35.0000 Note: Starting with v4.0 sw release, IBM 10/100 Ethernet Adapters sw shares the same drivers names with the Intel retail sw for Intel PRO/100 Adapters family. 3.0 Build and Installation Instructions _________________________________________ 1) Make sure the adapter is physically installed in your server or work station prior to installing the driver software. 2) Verify that your Windows NT system is upgraded with Service Pack 5 or later. 3) After logging in to NT 4.0, go to Network then Adapters 4) Select Add and click on Have Disk 5) Enter the source for the drivers software 6) Follow the steps on your screen to install the drivers 7) When completed, the adapter should then show up on the Network Adapters list. 8) When drivers installation is completed, if you are installing multiple adapters and want to set up a failover team, then go to Properties and Right Click on one of the adapters. Then follow the steps for creating an adapter team. 9) Click on Close and assign IP address either static or dynamic. 10) Reboot your system Note that, with NT 4.0, the Adapter Properties PROSet2 Utility tools and GUI are installed automatically with the drivers. 4.0 Configuration Information _______________________________ After following 3.0 above, your adapter should be all set to go.
