for Windows 98, Windows Me, and Windows 2000.
This package enables or updates the Intel(R) Chipset's specific 
functionality of the following ThinkPad computers:

  - ThinkPad R31

To update the Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation Utility, refer to 
the Installation instructions section.

Installation instructions:
--------------------------
<Windows 98/Me/2000/>
 1. Start Windows 98/Me/2000.  For Windows 2000, log on with a 
    user ID authorized as an administrator.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start, then click Run.
 4. Type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\CHIPUTIL\SETUP.EXE in the Open box and
    click OK.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
 6. Restart the system for the driver to be effective.


Determining which version is installed:

The version of the software can also be identified by examining the following 
registry location:
    Key name:   \\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Intel\InfInst
    Value name: version
