INSTALL: 1. Start Windows 2000/XP and logon with administrative privileges. 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive. 3. Click Start, then click Run. 4. In the run dialog window, type: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WLANCX2\SETUP.EXE and click OK to start the installation process. If you have extracted the files to a different location, specify this location instead. 5. Follow the instructions. UNINSTALL: 1. Start Windows 2000/XP. Logon with administrative privileges. 2. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel. 3. Click Add or Remove Programs. 4. Click Intel(R) Sebring API if it is listed under Currently installed programs. 5. Click Remove and follow the instructions on the screen. 6. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel. 7. Double-click System, select the Hardware tab, and click Device Manager. 8. Expand Network adapters. 9. Right-click Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection. 10. Choose Uninstall. 11. Click OK in the Confirm Device Removal window. 12. Follow the instructions. 13. Restart the system. Unattended Install: This procedure is intended only for system administrators. 1. Start Windows 2000/XP and logon with administrative privileges. 2. Click Start, select Settings and click Control Panel. 2. Double-click System, select the Hardware tab, and click Device Manager. 3. Expand Network adapters. 4. Right-click Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection. 5. Click the Driver tab. The version and date of the driver are displayed. 6. If it is 8.0.12.20000, then: 7. Click Start, Search, and All Files and Folders. 8. Click More advanced options. 9. Ensure Search system folders and Search subfolders options are checked. 10. Enter SbrngAPI.dll at the File Name field. 11. It may be located in the c:\windows\system32 folder. This location varies depending on where the Windows system was installed. 12. If it is dated 4/12/2004, then the 1VWC14WW Driver is installed. 13. If it is dated 2/9/2004, then the 1VWC11WW Driver is installed. 14. If it is 8.1.0.25, then: 15. Click Start, then click Search, and then click All Files and Folders. 16. Click More advanced options. 17. Ensure Search system folders and Search subfolders options are checked. 18. Enter SbrngAPI.dll at the File Name field. 19. It may be located in the c:\windows\system32 folder. This location varies depending on where the Windows system was installed. 20. If it is dated 10/02/2004, then the 1VWC27WW Driver is installed. 21. If it is dated 8/2/2004, then the 1VWC23WW Driver is installed. -------------------------- Known Issues and Solutions -------------------------- 1. Access Connections will not work if Windows XP Software Network Bridge connection is created. To recover the Access Connections function: 1. Start Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges. 2. Click Start, select Settings, click Control Panel, then double-click Network Connections. 3. Confirm that the following Device Name belongs to Network Bridge, and right-click on it. Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection 4. Click Remove from Bridge. 5. Confirm that it belongs to LAN or High-Speed Internet, and right- click on it, and then click Properties. Wireless Network connection Properties will be opened. 6. On General tab, check off WLAN Transport, and then click OK. 7. Restart the computer. 2. Installing and deleting server/client certificate may not take effect immediately.
