What This Package Does ---------------------- This package provides the display driver for Windows 2000/XP users. This package enables or updates the display function of the following ThinkPad computer: - ThinkPad G41 (machine type-model 2881-7nn, 2881-8nn, 2882-8nn, 2886-7nn, 2886-9nn) (*1, *2, *3) Notes: *1: The other machine type-model of ThinkPad G41 are not supported. Please get the additional package for them, and install it, as well. *2: You can find your system's machine type-model on the label on the bottom of your system. *3: "nn" means alphanumerics. To determine if you should update the display driver or not, refer to the "Summary of Changes" section. To update the display driver, please refer to the "Installation Instructions" section. Installation Instructions ------------------------- NOTE: If you already installed Presentation Director version 2.31 or earlier, it is recommended to upgrade the following packages. - Presentation Director version 2.32 or later INSTALL: SETUP install 1. Start Windows 2000/XP and logon with administrative privileges. 2. Extract this package onto hard disk drive. 3. Click Start, then click Run. 4. In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\DISPLAY\SETUP.EXE to install the video driver. Click OK to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead. 5. Follow the instructions on the screen. 6. Click Finish, then reboot the system. Click the Advanced button. 6. Click the Adapter tab. 7. Click the Properties button. 8. Click the Driver tab. The version number will be displayed. 1. Start Windows XP. 2. Click Start and then click Control Panel. 3. Click Appearance and Themes. 4. Click the Display icon. 5. Click the Settings tab. 6. Click the Advanced button. 7. Click the Adapter tab. 8. Click the Properties button. 9. Click the Driver tab. The version number will be displayed.
