Message Center March 9, 2006 Version 1.00 ====================================================================== What This Package Does ----------------------- This package provides the software support for Message Center. If the Message Center has been installed, updating (overwrite- installing) the Message Center will fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below. This program is language independent and can be used with any language system. This release supports the following systems: - 3000 C100 - 3000 N100 Supported Operating Systems: - Microsoft Windows XP - Microsoft Windows 2000 Released Versions ----------------- Version 1.00 Initial release Summary of Changes ------------------ Where: < > Version (New) New function or enhancement (Fix) Correction to existing function <1.00> -(New) Initial release Installation instructions ------------------------- Note: If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section. The following methods can be used for installation. (A) Automatic install with Software Installer (B) Manual install (C) Unattended install (A) Automatic Install with Software Installer Software Installer will check both the installed program in your PC and our Web site, then download and update the program automatically if a newer version is available. Refer to the Software Installer package for details. (B) Manual Install Refer to the Manual Install section. (C) Unattended Install Refer to the Unattended Install section. Manual install -------------- 1. Start Windows and logon with Administrative priveledges. 2. Open an Explorer and locate the directory where the files were extracted. 3. Double-click the SETUP.exe file. 4. Follow the instructions on the screen. Unattended install ------------------ Note: This is for system administrators' use only. - At a command line, execute SETUP.EXE with the -S -SMS options. (For example) [Path where the files were extracted]\SETUP -S -SMS Manual uninstall ---------------- 1. Start Windows and logon with Administrative privileges. 2. Click Start, then click Control Panel. 3. Double-click Add or Remove Programs. 4. Click Message Center, then click Change/Remove. 5. Follow the instructions on the screen. 6. Restart the computer, if required. Determining which which version is installed -------------------------------------------- 1. Click Start, then click Control Panel. 2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs. 3. Click Message Center. 4. Click "Click here for support information" link. You will see the version information on the screen. 5. Close Add or Remove Programs.
