WHAT THIS PACKAGE DOES
----------------------
This package provides the audio driver for Windows Vista users.
The audio driver enables or updates the audio function of ADI audio.
The following audio device is integrated into your 3000 system:

  SoundMAX Audio

To determine if you should update the audio driver, refer to the
"History of Changes" section.

To update the audio driver, refer to the "Installation Instructions"
section.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
-------------------------

Clean installation:

 1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
    The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\AUDIO.
 3. Click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then click 
    Run...
 4. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the 
    package in step 2, and click OK.
    Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\AUDIO\SETUP.EXE
 5. If the message "Windows can't verify the publisher of
    this driver software" appears ,click "Install this driver software
    anyway" button to continue installing. Follow the instructions on the screen.
 6. Reboot the system to complete the installation.
 

Upgrading or reinstall:

 1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
    The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\AUDIO.
 3. Click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then click 
    Run...
 4. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the 
    package in step 2, and click OK.
    Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\AUDIO\SETUP.EXE
 5. If the dialog box appears to select Reinstall or Update, then
    click Next. The device driver will be installed automatically.
    If the message, "Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver
    software" appears, click Install this driver software anyway to 
    continue installing.
 6. Follow the instructions on the screen.
 7. Reboot the system to complete the installation.


Unattended installation:
Note: This is for system administrators' use only.
 
 1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
 3. Specify "SETUP.EXE -s" with the full path name where you extracted
    the package in the step 2, and press Enter. The device driver will 
    be installed automatically.
    [Path where the files were extracted]\SETUP.EXE -s
 4. Reboot the system to complete the installation.


Uninstallation instructions

 1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Click Start, click Control Panel, then click Programs.
 3. Under Programs and Features, click Uninstall a program.
 4. Right-click SoundMAX, then click Uninstall.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
 6. Reboot the system to fully uninstall the driver.
