MANUAL INSTALL

Firmware Update

Notes:
 * Verify that the PC is connected to AC Adapter power.
 * Make sure that Vodafone Mobile Connect is closed.
 * The update may take up to ten minutes to complete.

 1. Start Windows XP/2000 and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Extract this package to the hard drive.
 3. Start Explorer and open the folder where the this package was
    extracted. If you extracted the files to a different location,
    specify that location instead.
 4. Double-click \Firmware\InstFW.BAT. The firmware update will begin.
 6. Click OK upon successful completion of update.

DETERMINING WHICH VERSION IS INSTALLED

 1. Launch Vodafone Mobile Connect.
 2. click Tools, then click Diagnostics. A screen with the firmware 
    version will be displayed.

    If your firmware version is:
    Firmware: U1_2_8MCAP G:/WS/FW/U1_2_8MCAP/MSM6275/SRC 2006/03/07

 3. After sucessfully updating the firmware, the version should be:
    Firmware: U1_2_36MCAP G:/WS/FW/U1_2_36MCAP/MSM6275/SRC 2006/06/27
