Notice:
------
- This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.
- When using Windows XP Service Pack 1 or Windows XP without any Service Pack,
  it is necessary to install the Microsoft Supplement file,
  "Windows XP/2000 SD Std Host Controller bus/storage drivers (KB Article ID: Q830908)"
  before installing this package.
  The Supplement files for the operating system supported are in the
  C:\IBMTOOLS\OSFIXES or the C:\SWTOOLS\OSFIXES directory on your hard disk drive
  before you install the operating system.
- When moving or copying data into or from a Flash Media, such as a SD card,
  do not enter your computer into standby or hibernation mode before
  completion of the data transfer.  This will help prevent damage to the data.


What This Package Does
------------------
This package provides the integrated digital media reader driver
for Windows XP.
The driver enables or updates the digital media reader function of the
following modules on the following ThinkPad computers.
The following digital media reader device is integrated into
your ThinkPad depending on your ThinkPad model.

  - Texas Instruments PCIxx12 Integrated FlashMedia Controller

This release supports the following systems:

  - ThinkPad Z61e, Z61m, Z61t, Z61p

To determine if you should update the digital media reader driver,
refer to the "Summary of Changes" section.

To update the digital media reader driver, refer to the
"Installation Instructions" section.

Determine which version is installed
------------------

 1. Start Windows.
 2. Click Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance,
    then click System. The System Properties window opens.
 3. Click Hardware tab, then click Device Manager.
 4. Click the + mark for "PCMCIA and Flash memory devices". (expand)
 5. Right-click "Texas Instruments PCI xx12 Integrated Flash Media Controller",
    and select Properties.
 6. Click the Driver tab. and check displayed "Driver Version".

<Package Version>
 1. Start Windows.
 2. Click "Start" and "Control Panel".
 3. Click "Add or Remove Programs".
 4. Select "Texas Instruments PCIxx21/x515/xx12 drivers."
     (If it is not displayed, the driver was not installed.)
 5. Click "Click hear for support information." and check displayed version.


Installation Instructions
======================================================================

At first
------------------
Before installing this driver, you must extract this package
onto your hard drive.
Double click the downloaded "exe" file. And follow the message
on the screen.

  Note: ThinkPad Software Installer provides install/(uninstall) wizard
        for this package


CLEAN / UPDATE INSTALL
------------------
 1. Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Run SETUP.EXE in the extracted driver directory.
 3. Follow the messages on the screen.

Overwrite install onto same version
------------------
 1. Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Click "Start" and "Run".
 3. Type "[Extracted driver path]\SETUP.EXE /zR" and click "OK".
    ex) C:\DRIVERS\WIN\MULCARD\SETUP.EXE /zR
 4. Follow the messages on the screen.

    ĶIf you run SETUP.EXE by double-clicking when overwrite install onto
      same version, you will see the panel that does uninstallation.


Unattended Installation
------------------
  Note: This is for system administrators' use only.

 Execute as follows on command line or Open box.
   [Extracted driver path]\SETUP.EXE /zR /s /v/qn
 ex) C:\DRIVERS\WIN\MULCARD\SETUP.EXE /zR /s /v/qn


Uninstall
------------------
 1. Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Click "Start" and "Control Panel".
 3. Click "Add or Remove Programs".
 4. Select "Texas Instruments PCIxx21/x515/xx12 drivers."
     (If it is not displayed, the driver was not installed.)
 5. Click "Change/Remove" button, and follow the messages on the screen.
