WHAT THIS PACKAGE DOES

  This package is used to update the ThinkPad BIOS Setup data with
  removable media.
  This program is the Windows based of "BIOS Settings Capture/Playback
  Utility" (SRCMOS.EXE).

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Notes:
  If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to
  update the software. To determine if you should update the software,
  refer to the Version Information section.


Manual Install

  The program must be installed on both the donor ThinkPad and the
  target ThinkPad.

  1. Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges. 
  2. Extract this package (*.zip) to a local folder (example: C:\TEMP).
  3. [Windows Vista]
     Click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then click
     Run...
     [Windows XP/2000]
     Click Start, then click Run...
  4. Type in the path and name of the command and press Enter.
     Example: C:\TEMP\Bios Settings Windows Installer.exe

  Note:
  You can use this program copying the entire directory from the donor
  ThinkPad (including sub directories) to the target ThinkPad.


Unattended Install

  This is for system administrators' use only.

  Specify Bios Settings Windows Installer.exe /S (capitalization
  required) with the full path name where you extracted the package.
  The default directory is C:\Program Files\BiosSettingsWindows
