IBM Home Director V3.5 Update Problem: IBM Home Director V3.5 incorrectly stores timer data in the IBM 2-Way Serial Interface Device, Model HD11A or HDSK11A, or parts functionally equivalent like the CM11A Serial Interface module, preventing timers and routines from starting on all dates after Jan 1, 2000. Resolution steps: 1. Stop Home Director, if it is currently running on your PC. 2. Download the self-extracting executable hd35y2k.exe to the directory on your PC where Home Director was installed. The default installation directory is C:\Program Files\Home Director. 3. Run the self-extracting executable program hdy2k35.exe, by either double clicking on it, or by choosing Start -> Run, and clicking on "Browse", to locate the directory specified in step 2. Select "OPEN", highlight the file "hd35y2k.exe, and select "OPEN". Select "OK", to run the extraction program. 4. Be sure the directory specified in the "Extract To" window is the same as that which was determined in Step 2. Click on "Extract" to start the extraction process. 4. Two files will be extracted, X10PREF.DLL and X10DNLD.DLL. If you are prompted whether or not to replace existing files, choose "Yes" for each file. 5. Restart Home Director, and click on the "Connection" menu item. Select "Download Timers and Routines", and existing routines and timers will be resent to the HD11A with the correct timer information.
