What This Packages Does
-----------------------
This package provides a diskless method for updating the 3Com Managed 
Boot Agent (MBA) in Windows 95 for the "IBM 10/100 Ethernet Mini PCI 
Adapter with 56K Modem(3Com)".  
NOTE: The LAN diagnostics provides diskless MBA update capabilities for 
all other operating systems.

This release supports the following systems:
  - ThinkPad A20m(*1), A20p(*1)
  - ThinkPad T20(*1)
  - ThinkPad X20(*1)
  - ThinkPad A21m(*1), A21p(*1), A21e(*1)
  - ThinkPad T21(*1)
  - ThinkPad TransNote(*1)
  - ThinkPad T22(*1)
  - ThinkPad X21(*1)
  - ThinkPad T23(*1)
  - ThinkPad A30m(*1), A30p(*1)
(Note) *1: With "IBM 10/100 Ethernet Mini PCI Adapter with 56K Modem
           (3Com)" option.

To determine if you should update the Managed Boot Agent, refer to
the "Summary of Changes" section.

Version 4.31      Fix for modem safe mode issue.
Version 4.32	  Fix to prevent system hang on reboots when the OS  
                    does not shut down the card.
                  Fix to prevent system hang when F1 is pressed during 
                    POST.

Installation Instructions
-------------------------
 1. Confirm that the "IBM 10/100 Ethernet Mini PCI Adapter with 56K 
    Modem(3Com)" is installed.
 2. Extract the Managed Boot Agent Diskless Update to a directory on  your
    hard drive.
 3. Reboot your system and press F8 during the boot sequence.
 4. Select option 6 from the "Microsoft Windows 95 Startup Menu".
 5. Type 'C:\3Com\mbaflash.exe /b /p' at the command prompt. This will update
    your MBA.
 6. The new MBA will take effect on reboot.

Determining which version is installed
--------------------------------------
 1. Confirm that the "IBM 10/100 Ethernet Mini PCI Adapter with 56K 
    Modem(3Com)" is installed.
 2. Extract the Managed Boot Agent Diskless Update to a directory on  your
    hard drive.
 3. Reboot your system and press F8 during the boot sequence.
 4. Select option 6 from the "Microsoft Windows 95 Startup Menu".
 5. Type 'C:\3Com\mbacfg /i' at the command prompt.  This will display
    the Managed Boot Agent Version (NIC-resident MBA Version:  x.xx).
