Readme file: Patch Utility for IBM USB Travel Keyboard with UltraNav and IBM USB Keyboard with UltraNav There is an issue with the UltraNav drivers (ver 7.2.3.4) installed as part of the Windows XP and Windows 2000 preloads causing the system to go to a blue screen (usually seen in Windows 2000) or giving inf errors(usually seen in Windows XP). You can verify the version of driver installed on your system by doing the following: * Go into the control panel and click on the mouse icon * Click on the UltraNav tab at the top of the window * Press “Alt+Shift+I” * The version will be displayed. To use the patch, please follow the steps below: * Boot the system with the keyboard unattached * Run the patch file (PatchUtility1_4.exe) by doubleclicking the file named patchutility.exe * Attach the keyboard to a new USB port when prompted. Do not plug it into the same USB port that was used when you were having the problems. * Verify that the generic MicroSoft driver has been installed by using both the TrackPoint stick and the UltraNav pad. If both are working, then the driver is installed. If they do not work, disconnect the keyboard and try it in another USB port. * Click OK * Click OK * Install the driver from the CD that came with your KB, by clicking the Software link then clicking Install Device Drivers link. * Reboot your machine when prompted.
