IBM TR4 Firmware Upgrade Notes First and foremost remove any existing media from the tape drive. TR4V344.EXE will self-extract to build a DOS2000 bootable diskette image. Once the image has been built bring the system to a power off state. Insert the diskette image in the floppy drive bay and power on the system. The system will boot to a DOS command prompt. UPGRD.EXE is a utility to upgrade the firmware for the IBM TR4 tape drives. Note: UPGRADE is a DOS program and must be run from a true DOS prompt and not from a DOS window.
