This README contains the latest information about updating the
firmware of the onboard ServeRAID controller in the
IBM PC Server 330 8640 PMO, PBO, PTO, and will only work on these
models.

1.0  Firmware Update Instructions

1.  Shutdown the Operating system and insert this diskette in the
    diskette drive.
2.  Reboot the system.  The firmware update utility on this diskette
    will be loaded and will automatically update the firmware on the
    onboard ServeRAID controller to codeblock level 97326.
3.  When the update is complete a message will appear asking you
    to remove the diskette and press CTRL-ALT-DEL to reboot the system.
4.  Remove the diskette and reboot.



2.0 Changes to the Firmware

This firmware fixes a problem that was found during recent product
evaluations tests.  The symptoms of the problem include Operating
System hangs, errors opening files, or other file errors.

Due to the nature of this problem IBM strongly recommends that this
firmware update be applied to the systems mentioned above.
