To view the RTD product name and version number, open the Task Extension window. 5.2 IBM Director group ----------------------- When you maximize a group icon, the contents of the group might not be displayed. To display the contents of a group, maximize the "Systems with IBM Director" group. Then, drag the system with Real Time Diagnostics installed onto the Real Time Diagnostics Task Extension. 5.3 RTD system is not displayed -------------------------------- Some systems might not be displayed in the "Systems with Diagnostics" group. To ensure that all systems are displayed, perform an inventory collection on all systems. By default, IBM Director performs a mandatory inventory collection during system discovery and repeats the collection every seven days. When you make changes, such as creating a system or adding diagnostics to an existing managed object, IBM Director does not perform inventory collection. 5.4 CD or DVD tests fail ------------------------- CD or DVD tests might fail for Linear, Rand, and Funnel Seeks. 5.5 SCSI disk drive tests fail for BladeCenter (HS20) IDE RAID --------------------------------------------------------------- RTD does not support local IDE hard disk drives that are configured using RAID utilities. IDE RAID disk drives that are installed in BladeCenter (HS20) servers are displayed in the operating system and RTD as SCSI hard disks. SCSI disk drive tests are not valid with these hardware configurations. 5.6 "0 Seconds Remaining" message is displayed during installation or uninstallation of RTD ------------------------------------------------------ The "0 Seconds Remaining" message is displayed when you install or uninstall RTD and the SNMP service is still running. To complete the installation or uninstallation process, complete the following steps: 1. Open a command prompt when the "0 Seconds Remaining" message is displayed. 2. At the command prompt, type the following command: net stop winmgmt 3. When prompted, type "Y" to stop the SNMP service. The WINMGMT and SNMP services are stopped and the installation or uninstallation process is completed. 4. After the process is completed, restart the SNMP service. From a command prompt, type the following command to start the SNMP service: net start snmp 5.7 Unable to access RTD after twgreset ---------------------------------------- To access RTD after you run the twgreset command, reinstall RTD. 5.8 CPU tests -------------- If a CPU test does not complete, restart Director Server or Agent, as applicable, on the system on which you are running RTD. 6.0 WEB SITES AND SUPPORT -------------------------- Use the following Web sites to get support for Real Time Diagnostics: o IBM Support Web Site: http://www.ibm.com/pc/support/ o IBM Marketing eServer(TM) xSeries Web site: http://www.ibm.com/eserver/xseries o If you have any questions about this update, or problems applying the update, see the following HelpCenter(R) World Telephone Numbers Web page: http://www.ibm.com/pc/qtechinfo/YAST-3P2QYL.html 7.0 NOTICES ------------ INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATION PROVIDES THIS PUBLICATION "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
