486 OverDrive Upgrade Compatibility (rev. 07.145F)

This file contains a complete list of supported and non-supported DX2 / 50
MHz OverDrive,  DX2 / 66 MHz OverDrive processors and DX4 / 100 MHz
OverDrive processors by specific PS/1 model type.  We are continuing to test
DX4 OverDrive processors daily and by no means consider this list to be
absolute.  If a PS/1 model type is not listed in either the positive or
negative results, it simply means we have not tested the DX4 OverDrive on
that model at this time.  The Intel part number (e.g. BOXDX2ODPR-50) will
always appear following the description of the OverDrive processor tested.
Although an effort is made to provide the most accurate information
available, IBM makes no warranty to any errors provided in this file.

Positive Test Results from Unsupported Processor Upgrades:

NOTE:  The following list indicates processors which we have found to work
in some systems, yet are not recommended nor supported by IBM.  In most
cases, the upgrade is not supported because of either manufacture dates of
system boards prior to their upgrade processor's introduction or because of
system board instability at higher processor speeds.  In any event, IBM
claims no responsibility for damage occurring from the installation of the
processors listed below into the system units listed below.
