Symptoms will include the inability to start task on clients, and add new systems. In the Add New Director System panel, the network protocol option is greyed out. A restart of the system may be required as the Director Support Program may not respond to NET STOP TWGIPC. The following error message will occur: 'A Communication Error has occurred while attempting to access the supported network protocols'. IC29988 - IBM Director 2.2 (ITD 3.1) does not add entries to the software dictionary when you specify the SERVER as the source of the software to be inventoried. 3.0 Installation Instructions ______________________________________________________________________ 3.1 This eFix should be applied to the following configurations: Director Server 2.2 & 2.21 3.2 This eFix is to be applied to the following operating systems: Windows 2000 Server Windows NT 4.0 Server 3.3 Primary installation method: Run IC30495.exe This will automatically extract the necessary files and start the eFix installation process. Follow the prompts to complete the installation *NOTE: This eFix requires administrator privileges to install. It is recommended that the Director Support Program be stopped prior to installing this eFix however, if it has not shutdown then the eFix will stop the service. After the installation of the eFix is complete, an attempt will be made to restart the Director Support Program. If the service does not start properly, restarting the operating system should resolve the issue. To stop the Director Support Program under any supported Windows Operating system type the following without quotes at Command Prompt and press enter.
