 PC SERVER325/330: PLANNING FOR A ROLLOUT - BATTERY ISSUES

 SYMPTOMS:

 - 161 error
 - 162 error
 - System will not retain date/time if wall power is removed.

 PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:

 - The system is any of the following IBM servers:

      a PC Server 330, Type 8640, Models: PT0, PB0, PM0,
      11Y or 21Y.
      a PC Server 325, Type 8639, Models: PT0, PTW, RB0, PB0,
      1RY or 2RY.

 - The system has been in storage and is scheduled to be put
   into production.

 FIX:

 Replace CMOS battery (FRU p/n33F8354).

 DETAILS:

 Contact your appropriate geography's HelpCenter with the below
 information for new PC Server 325 / 330 roll outs:
 (e.g. in the U.S., contact the IBM HelpCenter at 1-800-772-2227)

     - Company Name.
     - Number of systems being rolled out and the system serial
       numbers.
     - Roll out schedule.
     - Name, address and phone of the person the batteries should
       be shipped to.
