Firmware update for Samsung DVD-ROM drive model TS-H352
Installation README


We recommend this update to customers who have a Toshiba Samsung
Storage Technology (TSST) model TS-H352 DVD-ROM drive and have
issues with slow media access during a Ghost operation.

The DVD-ROM drive should be setup as the Master drive on the
secondary IDE controller to use this update.

Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation.


Downloading the package
=======================
1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save
   the downloaded file.


Extracting the package
======================
NOTE: Do not interrupt the flash update process once downloading
to the drive has started! This can make your drive permanently
unusable.

1.  Click Start, select Find or Search, then click Files and Folders.
2.  Type tssth352win.exe in the search field, then click Find Now. This
    will locate the file you just downloaded.
4.  Double-click the tssth352win.exe icon.
4.  Click Next. Read the license agreement.
5.  Click I accept the terms in the license agreement.
6.  Click Next.
7.  Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to
    C:\IBMTOOLS\drivers\TSSTH352.
8.  Click Next. The necessary files will be extracted to the hard drive
    and the SFDNWIN program will start automatically.


Installing the package
======================
1. Click the "Download File Open" icon in the upper left-hand corner of the
   SFDNWIN program, select the file IB02.bin in the C:\IBMTOOLS\drivers\TSSTH352
   directory, then click Open.
2. Click the "Start Download" icon.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
