Adaptec Ultra 160/m Family Manager Set
for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000

Installation README

This package installs an update to the Microsoft(R) Windows(R)
NT 4.0 and Microsoft Windows 2000 device driver
for the Adaptec Ultra 160/m Family Manager Set that comes
with your IBM computer. This update requires approximately 
770KB of space on your hard disk (drive C).

This update package is intended for IBM ThinkCentre systems that come
with an Adaptec Ultra 160/m hard disk drive.

Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation.  


Downloading the update
----------------------
1.  Click the file link to download the file from the Web page. 
2.  When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save
    the downloaded file.


Extracting the update
---------------------
1.  Click Start, select Find, then click Files and folders
2.  Type zi6z07us.exe in the search field, then click Find Now.
    This will locate the zi6z07us.exe file you just downloaded.
3.  Double-click the icon for zi6z07us.exe.
4.  Click Next. Read the license agreement. 
5.  Click I accept the terms in the license agreement. 
6.  Click Next. 
7.  Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to
    C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\ZI6Z07US.
8.  Click Next. 
9.  Click Finish.


Installing the update
---------------------
 Once the drivers have been extracted, detailed installation notes
 are provided in the specific operating system folder as indicated
 below.

Specific installation notes for the Microsoft Windows 2000 and 
Windows NT operating systems are provided in the file
C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\ZI6Z07US\WIN2KNT.TXT.
