IBM Drive Letter Access (DLA) for Microsoft 98SE, Me, NT 4.0, 2000, and XP version 4.95 Installation Readme This package is the full version of IBM Drive Letter Access (DLA) Version 4.95. It is a bug-fix update from previous versions. This update requires approximately 32MB of space on your hard drive. Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation. Determine the version of DLA installed on your system ----------------------------------------------------- 1. Double-click My Computer. 2. Right-click on the icon for your recordable drive. 3. Click Properties. 4. Click the DLA tab. 5. Click Version information. The About DLA dialog will appear. Look for Version and Build. Downloading the update ---------------------- 1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page. 2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file. Extracting the update --------------------- Note: Before installing this update, Uninstall any previously installed versions of DLA. See "Uninstalling DLA" below for instructions. 1. Click Start, select Find or Search, then click Files or Folders. 2. Type b91z78usa.exe in the search field, then click Find Now. This will locate the b91z78usa.exe file you just downloaded. 3. Double-click the b91z78usa.exe icon. 4. Click Next. Read the license agreement. 5. Click I accept the terms in the license agreement. 6. Click Next. 7. Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\B91Z78US. 8. Click Next. 9. Click Finish. Extracting the update --------------------- 1. Click Start, then click Run. 2. Type C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\B91Z78US\setup.exe, then click OK. 3. Follow all onscreen prompts and reboot your system when done. Uninstalling DLA ---------------- 1. Click Start, select Settings, click Control Panel. 2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs. 3. Click DLA. 4. Click Remove. Follow the onscreen instructions to remove DLA.
