Installation README


This package installs an updated version of the Sonic Simple
Backup program software that comes with the Multi-burner
drives. This update requires approximately 67MB of space on 
your hard drive.

This package corrects the following problems:

- Simple Backup crashes on exit under Windows XP service pack 2


Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation.


Downloading the update
----------------------
1.  Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
2.  When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save
    the downloaded file.


Extracting the update
---------------------
1.  Uninstall any previous versions of Simple Backup.
2.  Click Start, click Find or Search, then click Files and folders.
3.  Type b91z86usa.exe in the search field, then click Search.
    This will locate the file you just downloaded.
4.  Double-click the icon for b91z86usa.exe.
5.  Click Next. Read the license agreement.
6.  Click I accept the terms in the license agreement.
7.  Click Next.
8.  Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to
    C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\B91Z86US.
9.  Click Next.
10. Click Finish.


Installing the update
---------------------
1.  Click Start, then click Run.
2.  Type C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\B91Z86US\setup.exe, then click OK.
3.  Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation. 


Notes:
- This application will only install on ThinkCentre systems with
  DVD-RAM drives.

- If you do not uninstall the previous Simple Backup, a Microsoft
  installer error will occur after rebooting. Canceling this error
  and restarting the install will complete the installation.
