Installation Readme


This package installs an update for ThinkVantage Rescue and
Recovery version 3.00.0027 and Client Security Solution version
6.00.0027. Rescue and Recovery version 3.00.0027 or Client
Security Solution version 6.00.0027 must be installed on your
system for this update to work.

This update requires approximately 5MB of space on your hard drive.

Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation.


Summary of changes
==================
The following information provides details of problems which have
been corrected in this version of the software:

1. Prevents users from creating Password Manager entries on Web
   pages that would have erased all entries in Password Manager.
2. Enables selected non-English users to create a Recovery CD
   without first having to create rescue media.
3. Enables selected non-English users to run scheduled backups.


Downloading the package
=======================
1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save
   the downloaded file.


Installing the package
======================
1. Close all open applications.
2. Click Start, select Find or Search, then click Files and folders.
3. Type rnr3_hotfix1.exe in the search field, then click Find Now.
   This will locate the file you just downloaded. 
4. Double-click the rnr3_hotfix1.exe icon.
5. Click Next, then read the license agreement.
6. Click I accept the terms in the license agreement. 
7. Click Next.
8. The necessary files will extract to the
   C:\SWTOOLS\APPS\RNR3.0\HOTFIX1 directory and the installation
   should start automatically.
9. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.


Silent installation with reboot
-------------------------------
1. Close all open applications.
2. Click Start, then click Run.
3. Type c:\<path>\rnr3_hotfix1.exe /s, then click OK.

Note: <path> should be replaced with the full directory path in
      which you downloaded the file.

4. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation.


Note: If you choose to repair your install of Rescue and Recovery
3.0 or Client Security Solution 6.0 after applying this patch, you
will need to reinstall this patch.
