Downloads
UnixOS2 downloads fall into several categories based on how they relate to the project.
- Binary packages are pre-compiled programs or libraries that can be installed
directly onto your system using the pkgtool (part of the UnixOS2 base package).
- Development tools are specially selected tools that can be used for compiling source
code into executables and libraries. These tools should only be necessary if you plan on recompiling UnixOS2
packages or wish to compile your own software.
- Incoming contains the latest and greatest UnixOS2 software, potentially untested
and uncatalogued. All uploaded software goes into "Incoming" before it is added to the appropriate download
section.
- Source is the directory used to contain the source code and/or diffs for the existing
UnixOS2 software.
UX2 Install
UX2 Install (formerly known as UX2BS) offers a "live download" of a growing number of UnixOS2 software.
If you have a fast internet connection, you can try this system!
