Current Status

UnixOS2 is currently working toward a version 1.0 "release". Listed below are projects that will help make up the UnixOS2 distribution. Currently the list is rather small, as standardising the UnixOS2 build environment has become the priority project. If you wish to start a project or your current UnixOS2 project is missing, please contact us to have your project included!



 

Packages

Package Version Status Description
Autoconf 2.59 Autoconf is an extensible package of m4 macros that produce shell scripts to automatically configure software source code packages.
Gnu Awk 3.1.2 The basic function of awk is to search files for lines (or other units of text) that contain certain patterns. When a line matches one of the patterns, awk performs specified actions on that line. awk keeps processing input lines in this way until it reaches the end of the input files.
GNU BaSH 2.05a Bash is a freely available command interpreter with advanced features for both interactive use and shell programming.
GNU Make 3.81 beta 1 Make is a tool which controls the generation of executables and other non-source files of a program from the program's source files.
Gnu Privacy Guard (GnuPG) 1.2.3 GnuPG is a complete and free replacement for PGP. Because it does not use the patented IDEA algorithm, it can be used without any restrictions. GnuPG is a RFC2440 (OpenPGP) compliant application.
PINE 4.56 Pine - a Program for Internet News & Email - is a tool for reading, sending, and managing electronic messages.
UnixOS2 Base Package Base UnixOS2 package containing file structure and basic tools.
UnixOS2 Build System (UX2BS) 0.1 UX2BS is a framework for building Unix apps on OS/2 automatically.
